Cars for Homes

Have a car, truck, boat, RV, motorcycle, or other vehicle you no longer need? Donate it through Habitat for Humanity’s Cars for Homes program and help support Midcoast Habitat’s work right here in our community.

Donating is quick and easy, towing is free, and your gift may be tax-deductible. Vehicles may be accepted whether they are running or not.

How It Works

1. Start your donation online through Habitat’s Cars for Homes donation form or call 1-877-277-4344.
2. Provide some basic information about your vehicle.
3. Schedule a convenient time for free pickup.
4. Receive documentation for your records and potential tax deduction.

What Can I Donate?

Cars for Homes accepts many types of vehicles, including:

• Cars and trucks
• SUVs and vans
• Motorcycles
• Boats
• RVs
• ATVs and UTVs
• Farm and construction equipment

Vehicles are accepted based on their condition and location.

Does My Vehicle Have to Run?

No! Many non-running vehicles can still be donated. All donations are evaluated before acceptance.

Where Does the Money Go?

Proceeds from donated vehicles help Habitat for Humanity affiliates like Midcoast Habitat for Humanity build and repair homes and expand access to affordable homeownership.

Your old vehicle can become something much bigger: a safe, affordable place for a local family to call home.
