Thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers, donors, Board, and community, Midcoast Habitat for Humanity is building more affordable housing than ever as we head into 2026. To support this growth, we need a larger space that better serves our construction teams, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
You may notice our current Route 90 property has been listed for sale. This step allows us to move into a space that improves efficiency, expands the ReStore—which helps fund our mission—and provides better access and parking for volunteers and community members.
“As an organization, we are proud of the sustainable growth we’ve achieved and the impact it allows us to make,” said Tia Anderson, Executive Director. Board Chair Peter Berke added that a larger space will help Midcoast Habitat “continue making an even greater impact on housing affordability in our community.”
This move supports our ongoing work developing pocket neighborhoods and expanding affordable homeownership opportunities across the Midcoast. We’re grateful for the continued support of this community and look forward to sharing more in the months ahead.

More details coming soon.
Join us on Friday, August 21 for Holes for Homes, our annual golf tournament at Goose River Golf Course in Rockport. Enjoy a great day on the course while helping build strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. Registration details coming soon.
Home is the foundation on which all of our lives are built. It’s where we feel safe, raise our families, and build community. Hear from two Habitat homeowners as they share how homeownership changed their lives – creating stability, security, and the opportunity to build a better future. Their stories remind us what’s possible when we work together to make home attainable for everyone.
Our work touches every part of the housing process, from designing more resilient homes to empowering the people who live in them, leading to a stronger future for all.
We’re looking for a full-time Construction Assistant to help build homes, work with volunteers, and make a real impact in Knox County.
From building new homes and weatherizing existing ones to helping at the ReStore and working behind the scenes on our committees, there are many ways to volunteer.
Every donation of money, land, and materials supports the house-building and hope-building work of Midcoast Habitat.
Learn how you can benefit from our program. Qualifying families are selected based on need, ability to repay, and willingness to partner.
