We’ve outgrown our home… and we’re moving!
Midcoast Habitat for Humanity is relocating to the iconic Downeast Building at 680 Commercial Street in Rockport.
This move reflects real growth, real momentum, and real need here in Knox County. Because of the incredible support from our community, we are building more affordable homes than ever, and we need the space to keep up.
What does this mean?
A significantly expanded ReStore in the warehouse to the left
More space for staff and volunteers
Room to grow rental office space for local partners
Important ReStore info:
The ReStore will close April 10 for the move and reopen April 15 at the new location.
Hours stay the same: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Phone stays the same: 207-236-6123
This is a big step forward for us, and for the community we serve. More space means more impact, more homes, and more opportunity to bring people together.

Home is the foundation on which all of our lives are built. It’s where we feel safe, raise our families, and build community. Hear from two Habitat homeowners as they share how homeownership changed their lives – creating stability, security, and the opportunity to build a better future. Their stories remind us what’s possible when we work together to make home attainable for everyone.
Our work touches every part of the housing process, from designing more resilient homes to empowering the people who live in them, leading to a stronger future for all.
We’re looking for a full-time Construction Assistant to help build homes, work with volunteers, and make a real impact in Knox County.
From building new homes and weatherizing existing ones to helping at the ReStore and working behind the scenes on our committees, there are many ways to volunteer.
Every donation of money, land, and materials supports the house-building and hope-building work of Midcoast Habitat.
Learn how you can benefit from our program. Qualifying families are selected based on need, ability to repay, and willingness to partner.
