Midcoast Habitat for Humanity’s Weatherization and Repair Program supports low- to moderate-income homeowners by helping them preserve their homes and remain safely and affordably housed. Through essential repairs, energy-efficiency upgrades, and accessibility improvements, we promote lasting stability for the families who need it most.

Many Midcoast families live in aging homes they can’t afford to repair, with rising energy costs pushing them closer to displacement. This program helps homeowners remain in their homes—safely, securely, and affordably.

To qualify, applicants must answer yes to the following questions:

Priority is given to seniors, people with disabilities, and households facing urgent safety concerns.
Each project is customized to meet the household’s specific needs, as determined by an initial home inspection. Most of the work is carried out with the support of volunteers, donated materials, and community partners.
