Home Repair, Weatherization and Modifications Program

Helping Knox County Homeowners Stay Warm, Safe, and Housed

Midcoast Habitat for Humanity’s Weatherization and Repair Program supports low- to moderate-income homeowners by helping them preserve their homes and remain safely and affordably housed. Through essential repairs, energy-efficiency upgrades, and accessibility improvements, we promote lasting stability for the families who need it most.

What We Offer

Our team works with qualified homeowners to complete projects such as:

  • Sealing air leaks and adding insulation
  • Installing interior storm windows and energy-efficient heat pumps
  • Repairing roofing, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Mitigating hazards like mold, pests, and lead
  • Installing ramps, grab bars, and other mobility aids
  • Efficiency repairs/upgrades

Why It Matters

Many Midcoast families live in aging homes they can’t afford to repair, with rising energy costs pushing them closer to displacement. This program helps homeowners remain in their homes—safely, securely, and affordably.
